Q: What is the cost of VectorayGen?

A: We sell monthly subscriptions or have perpetual licenses. Go to https://jangafx.com/purchase-vectoraygen/ for pricing information.

Q: What are the requirements for running VectorayGen?

A: We would say they are roughly the same requirements for running Unreal Engine 4.

Desktop or Laptop PC
Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10.
Quad-core Intel or AMD processor, 2.5 GHz or faster.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 500 series video card or higher.
8 GB RAM.

A Working Internet Connection.

*You need to have the absolute latest graphics drivers for the software to run properly.

Q: Where can I find Documentation?

A: Our documentation is currently incomplete. The best source of knowledge is embedded in the software in tool tips which are visible by holding down ALT and hovering over any menu item.

Q: How do I get a vector field into Unreal Engine 4?

A: Click the “Export” button in the “Export Tab”. Once you generate your vector file you import it into UE4 through the content browser. For more info on the process of using the software, please view this tutorial series:¬†https://jangafx.com/vectoraygen-starter-tutorial-series/

Q: I can’t find my generated vector field file, where is it?

A: It’s in the folder that your vectoraygen.exe is in.

Q: Can I give my license key to someone else for them to use it?

A: No. It is prohibited by the EULA that you agree to. Doing so will result in your key and account being blacklisted.

Q: What is your privacy policy?

A: Our current privacy policy is:

We’ll never disclose your name, credit cards, or emails with anyone.

Q: Can I use VectorayGen for commercial purposes?

A: Yes, under the condition that you buy a license.

Q: What happens when I cancel my subscription?

A: When you cancel your subscription, or it is terminated, your license key will be active for the duration left of which you have paid for. Once your paid period ends, access to VectorayGen ends. You must reactivate your subscription, or buy another license to continue using the software.
